We're very sorry but this course has been cancelled.


This webinar course is offered as a single day introduction to R geared towards those working with ecological data. No prior knowledge of R is required.  The course will not cover statistical analysis, but will act as a primer for those with minimal or no experience working in the R environment that want to learn the  programming language, data formatting, exploration, and visualization.  Course content, including R scripts and slide handouts, will be provided to all participants.

Note:  A limited access recording of the course will be made available for those unable to attend the live webinar.

Who Will Benefit?
Natural resource managers, students, researchers, biologists, ecologists, and wildlife professionals.

Dr. James Johnson is an Outreach Program Assistant with the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. He is an Associate Wildlife Biologist, has an MS in environmental sciences, and a PhD in wildlife ecology.  James’ research while at the Warnell School focused on developing a survey method for estimating white-tailed deer population parameters using camera traps.   

Dr. Daniel Crawford is a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Jones Center at Ichauway, Georgia.  Daniel completed his PhD with Texas A&M University and his research examines how predators affect white-tailed deer behavior using camera traps and telemetry data.

Registration Fee
The fee for this 1-day webinar course is $125.00 (normal rate), $75.00 (student rate).
